            Anyone accepting a position with P.C.M.H.A. Inc. Must promise to obey the rules, regulations and policies of the C.H.A; O.H.F; O.M.H.A; and P.C.M.H.A. Inc;  and to provide good sportsmanship and what’s best for all over their own personal interests.

 

            Executive members must fulfill responsibilities as outlined in the by-laws as well as the following; and manage replacement, resignation or dismissal of an Executive position as outlined in P.C.M.H.A. Inc. By-Laws:

President

Executive position / elected

 

Duties and Powers

  1. Act as an ambassador for Minor hockey whenever and wherever possible
  2. Participate on any committee or attend meetings that will promote the best interests of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  3. Exercise power of executive in case of emergency
  4. May suspend any individual, volunteer, official, team, or player of P.C.M.H.A. Inc. subject to ratification at the next Executive meeting and report in accordance with the discipline policy. 
  5. Participate on all committee’s as an ex-officio voting member that promotes and assists in the operation of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  6. Represents P.C.M.H.A. Inc. or delegate to be represented at all O.M.H.A. functions
  7. Organize the annual general meeting of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  8. Oversee and assist all volunteers holding a position of P.C.M.H.A. Inc. in fulfilling their duties.
  9. Facilitate recruitment of individuals to assist in the running of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  10. Enforce and uphold all by-laws, rules, regulations and policies of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  11. Should hold a trainer certificate and a coaching certificate and be rostered at large in case of an emergency.
  12. Appoint Chair and committee members to each committee at first executive meeting following AGM. 
  13. Authority to appoint or replace any committee member or chairperson who is not fulfilling their duty in accordance to P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules, regulations and policies.
  14. All appointments or decisions of the President are subject to ratification of the Executive

1.            Oversee all administration activity. Assist treasurer and Secretary in fulfilling their duties.

2.            In the absence of the president, or in the event of the inability to act, will exercise all powers and perform all duties of the President.

3.            Organize all sponsorships, and service club support.

4.            Organize all major fundraising projects for P.C.M.H.A. Inc. and chair such committees.

5.            Responsible for the approval of all fund-raisers by any team or group within P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

6.            Arrange for the display and storage of all P.C.M.H.A. Inc. trophies and banners.

7.            Organize and schedule all team pictures, trophies and special events.

8.            Assure an accurate inventory all P.C.M.H.A equipment and jerseys.

9.            Act as purchaser for all goods and services within policies of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

10.         Obtain all appropriate insurance policies for P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

2nd Vice President

Executive / Elected

 

 

Duties / Powers

1.            Oversee all hockey operations. Assist travel team convenor and house league convenor, ice scheduler in fulfilling their duties

2.            Ensure that all CHA, OHF, OMHA and PCMHA rules regulations and policies are observed and respected in the hockey operation.

3.            Responsible for the coordinating all clinics that promote development and education in hockey. 

4.            Assures all players and teams are registered with the OMHA, verifies rosters.

5.            Compile a listing of all P.C.M.H.A. Inc. volunteers and their qualifications.

6.            Ensure all volunteers have PRS certification and on-ice volunteers are registered with the O.M.H.A.

7.            Responsible for co-ordinating monthly convenor and team personnel meetings.

8.            Ensure P.C.M.H.A Inc.  has proper representation at all NDLL and NDHL meetings and attend meetings when deemed necessary. 

9.            Responsible for the distribution of a list of OMHA, NDHL and other center contacts for P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

10.         Should hold trainer certification and coaching certification and be rostered at large in case of an emergency.

ICE SCHEDULER

Executive / Elected

 

Duties / Powers

  1. Responsible for the preparation and review of all contracts for rental of the ice and arena facilities.
  2. Ensure enough ice time is available to adequately operate hockey programs during the full season
  3. Will ensure ice times are distributed in accordance to P.C.M.H.A. Inc rules, regulations and policies.
  4. Act as the contact person on behalf of P.C.M.H.A. Inc. to the city of Port Colborne Community Service Division.
  5. Ensure ice time budget projections are met and report any variances to the Executive.
  6. Participate on the following committees
    1. Hockey program (Chair)
    2. Budget
    3. Facility and Safety (rules, regulations, policy)
    4. other as deemed necessary
  7. Attend various meetings where ice time is of concern (playoff, tournament, clinics)
  8. Assign in-house programs adequate ice-times for the season.
  9. Schedule all NDHL and Rep. Niagara District League home and away games for the regular season, OMHA playdowns and Niagara District playdowns.
  10. Provide each division / team with accurate game and practice schedule.   
  11. Act as P.C.M.H.A. Inc. contact for re-scheduled games and inform appropriate team personnel of changes.  
  12. Provide the following with monthly requirements (ice rental, arena attendant,  referee scheduler and off-ice officials scheduler)
  13. Responsible for keeping an accurate record of the number of games, practices and hours of ice time per team and other statistics at required time to time by the executive.
  14. Review all invoices from the City of Port Colborne for accuracy and refer to the Treasurer for payment.
  15. Review all amounts owing to referee and off-ice officials to ensure accuracy and refer payment to the Treasurer for payment.

 

TRAVEL TEAM Director

Executive/Elected

 

A travel team convenor overseas the Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget, and juvenile travel teams.

  1. Organize and co-ordinate all Rep-team activities.
  2. Assist all volunteers in the Rep. program fulfill their duties.   
  3. Participate on the following committees
    1. Rep coaches selection (chair)
    2. Discipline
    3. Player Evaluation & Development
    4. Equipment and purchasing
    5. Hockey program
  4. Will coordinate recruitment and interviews to appoint the Travel Team Head Coaches as chair of the Coaches Selection Committee.  
  5.  Attend monthly NDHL meetings as scheduled and act as primary contact person for P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  6. Attend individual team meetings when deemed necessary.
  7. Work with equipment manager to ensure team has proper equipment (game sheets, jerseys, pucks etc) to run a successful program.  Ensures a purchase request is submitted to 1st VP.
  8. Coordinate tryouts, collect payments and submit report to treasurer.
  9. Coordinate the collection of additional travel fees and submit report to treasurer.
  10. Responsible for ensuring team personnel have proper certification and team rosters and A/P lists are completed and approved by the OMHA.
  11. Must approve any player movement.
  12. Review ice schedules for all Rep. Teams games and practices to ensure all teams have proper monthly schedules.
  13. Responsible for the approval of all exhibition and tournaments for the Rep. Teams and advise ice scheduler of individual team activity.
  14. Attend home games and be in charge of facility (or delegate to authorized persons)
  15. Ensure coaches have updated information as per OMHA rules and understand penalty codes (suspensions)
  16. Responsible for ensuring all C.H.A., O.H.F, O.M.H.A.., N.D.L.L. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules, regulations and policies are observed and respected.
  17. Will resolve or attempt to resolve all concerns among players, parents and team personnel.
  18. Act as a contact for clarification of any suspensions incurred in Rep. program.  Communicate all O.M.H.A. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. suspensions and any other discipline actions to players and team officials.
  19. Collect and maintain up to date statistics for teams and players.
  20. Should hold a trainer certificate and a coaching certificate and be roster at large in case of an emergency.
  21. Must be able to fulfill duties of off-ice officials in case of emergency.
  22.  Should not be head coach of a Rep. team.

House League Director

Elected / Executive

 

A House League Director overseas the Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget and Juvenile in-house and local league teams.

 

1.    Facilitate and co-ordinate all house league and local league activities.

2.    Assist all volunteers in the house league and local league program to fulfill their duties.

5.    Will appoint the House League convenors with the help of a Selection Committee if needed and aid in the recruiting of certified coaches and team personnel.

6.    Responsible for ensuring team personnel has proper certification and team rosters are completed and approved by the OMHA by late October.

7.    Assist Division convenors in the drafting of players for each team at the start of the season, ensuring all players are registered.

8.    Attend individual division or team meetings when deemed necessary.

9.    Work with equipment manager and division convenors to ensure each division has proper equipment (game sheets, jerseys, pucks etc) to run a successful program.  Ensures a purchase request is submitted to 1st VP.

10. Must approve any player movement.

11. Review ice schedules for all Divisions and Teams games and practices to ensure teams have proper monthly schedules.

12. Responsible for the approval of all in-house game schedules, exhibition games and tournaments for all teams in house league and local league and advise ice scheduler of individual team activity.

13. Assure all home games have an authorized person in charge of facility.

14. Responsible for ensuring all C.H.A., O.H.F, O.M.H.A.., N.D.L.L. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules, regulations and policies are observed and respected.

15. Will resolve or attempt to resolve all concerns among players, parents and team personnel and division convenors.

Treasurer

Duties and Powers

 

  1. Signing authority for financial documents with the president and appoint a third executive member with signing authority. (two of three required)
  2. Responsible for accurate records of all monies received and disbursed, as directed by Executive.
  3. Disbursements will be made by cheque as directed and approved by Executive.
  4. Provide the Executive on a monthly basis an updated financial report and tracks expenses to ensure budget projections are respected and report any variances to the Executive.
  5. Present at each annual meeting an updated financial statement and report.
  6. Responsible for ensuring and audited year end financial statement and report
  7. Participate on the following committees;
    1. Budget  (chair)
    2. Registration
    3. Facility -Rules and regulations
    4. Sponsorships & Fundraising
    5. And others as deemed necessary
  8. Act as purchaser for all goods and services within policies of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  9. Facilitate and assist in the collection of all sponsorships and service club support.
  10. Coordinate the collection of fees at registration and issues proper receipts.
  11. Reviews reports as per the collection of try-outs fees and travel team fees.
  12. Responsible for ensuring all P.C.M.H.A. Inc. financial policies are observed.
  13. Responsible for notifying the Executive of players whose registration fee or any amount owing P.C.M.H.A. Inc. is not paid in full.

 

 

Secretary

Executive / Elected

 

Duties and Powers

 

1.            Organize all executive meetings (agenda, documents)

 

2.            Responsible for maintaining an up to date list of all players registered with P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

 

3.            Responsible for maintaining an up to date list of all P.C.M.H.A. Inc. members

 

4.            Organize and be responsible of all registration (documents, forms, location, dates etc.). Ensure all OMHA rules and regulations are enforced.

 

5.            Respond and prepare all correspondence on behalf of P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

 

6.            Responsible for all books, records, papers, contracts filing equipment and related office equipment and supplies. 

 

7.            Prepare all correspondence from P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

 

8.            Receive and disburse all incoming mail. 

 

9.            Participate on the following committees:

a.    Registration

b.    AGM - Nomination and election

c.    Constitution and By-Laws

d.    Budget

e.    Communication and Publicity

f.     Facility and Safety – rules, regulations, policies

 

10.         Responsible for maintaining an archive of all documents and related material referring to P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

 

 

  

1st - Director at large 

 

1.            Attend all NDLL meetings as representative for PCMHA and act as secondary contact to the local league.

2.            Assist in administration of sponsorships, and service club support.

3.            Participate in facilitating fundraising projects for P.C.M.H.A. Inc

4.            Assist in the display and storage of all P.C.M.H.A. Inc. trophies and banners.

Referee in chief

Elected by Referees home group and confirmed by membership at A.G.M.

 

1.    Representative of all referees which are an independent group governed by the O.M.H.A and will act as a liaison between P.C.M.H.A. Inc. and the referee’s.

2.    Provide an updated list of qualified referee’s to P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

3.    Clarify, and inform P.C.M.H.A. Inc. executive of any new rules or rule changes implemented by the C.H.A., O.H.F., O.M.H.A. or rule emphasis set by the league.

4.    Responsible for scheduling all officials for home games.

  1. Responsible for submitting a detailed list of all amounts owing to officials to the ice scheduler (Treasurer) on a monthly basis.
  2.  Responsible for ensuring payment is made to referees on behalf of P.C.M.H.A.
  3. Responsible for developing and administrating a program to foster the development and recruitment of referee talent.
  4.  Must hold a C.H.O.P. level three or higher.

9.    Should not be a carded team official.

 

Referee

 

1.    Are NOT elected or appointed by P.C.M.H.A. Inc., are an independent group represented by their Referee in Chief and governed by the O.M.H.A.

2.    Duties of the referees are detailed in C.H.A rules, in particular rules 40-41 and 42.

3.    Are paid for services as outlined by the O.M.H.A. manual of operations and agreements with P.C.M.H.A.

4.    Recommendations or complaints can be made in writing to the Referee-in-chief.

 

Equipment Manager:

Appointed by the executive

 

The Equipment Manager shall:

  1.  Maintain an inventory of all equipment owned by the Association and provide a yearly updated record to the secretary and 1st VP.
  2. Shall be responsible for handling, storage, repairing, and cleaning of equipment;
  3. Shall record on a standard form all equipment issued to convenors and team officials and ensure that all equipment is returned within two weeks after completion of the hockey season;
  4. Shall obtain a list of equipment requirements from the convenor of each division
  5. Substantiate equipment requests.
  6. Obtain quotes and purchase equipment as authorized by the Executive;
  7. Carry out other duties as assigned by the Board, or the President.

 

 

House League Convenors (one per division)

Appointed by house League director / Convenor Selection Committee

 

1.    A House League convenor may be in charge of one or more of the following age divisions: Tyke, Novice, Atom, Peewee, Bantam, Midget/juvenile.  

2.    Assist all volunteers in fulfilling their duties in their division.

3.    Facilitate and coordinate all activities of division(s) he/she convenes.

4.    Will select the House League coaches for his division with the help of the House League Coaches Selection Committee if needed.

5.    Organize pre-season clinics deemed necessary for the division.

6.    Organize appropriate system for the evaluation of players and ensure the draft of players to fair teams at the start of the season

7.    Ensure all players from his division are registered and team rosters are completed and approved by late October.

8.    In-house convenors will provide HL Director with full season schedule for approval and to ensure scheduling of referees and off-ice officials.   

9.    Ensure coaches have accurate monthly schedule or season ice time allocation etc.

10. Attend all home games and be in charge of facility (or delegate to authorized persons)

11. Attend team meetings if deemed as necessary.

12. Will implement P.C.M.H.A. Inc. Hockey program as it applies (see appendix; PCMHA, hockey programs).

13. Enforce policies set by P.C.M.H.A. Inc.   (parent free zone, fair play, etc.)

14. Responsible for ensuring all C.H.A., O.H.F, O.M.H.A.., N.D.L.L. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules and regulations are observed and respected.

15. Must be able to fulfill duties of off-ice officials or appoint authorized person in case of emergency.

16.  Collect and maintain up to date statistics for teams and may collect statistics for players to the age group.

17. Will resolve or cause to be resolved all concerns among players, parents and team personnel; request directors intervene when necessary.

18.  Must be involved in the decision making process of any player movement to his division.

19. Arrange or assist in the organization of post-season player recognition.

20. Should hold a trainers certificate and a coaching certificate and be rostered as a coach and trainer at large in case of emergency for any team in his division.

21. May be dismissed, or reviewed by the House League Director / Convenor selection or discipline committees.

22. Communicate all O.M.H.A. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. suspensions and any other discipline actions to players and team officials.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Head Coach

Appointed by : Rep. Coach / convenor selection committee

 

Powers / Duties

 

  1. The head coach is responsible for the general management and supervision of all affairs associated to the team as outlined in policy. 

 

  1. Will implement P.C.M.H.A. Inc. hockey program as it applies.

 

  1. Must prepare a year’s plan of action (including long term goal for player development, discipline, tournaments) as outlined in policy.

 

  1. Must hold a team meeting early in the season to inform parents and players of the year action plan of action and request an executive member be present.

 

  1. Responsible for the selection of the team personnel (to be approved by the Travel or House league director)

 

  1. Has authority to dismiss any member of his team personnel.  In this event must notify travel /house league director.

 

  1. Coaches are responsible for player selection process (as outlined in policy).

 

  1. Responsible for the conduct of players and team personnel at all team functions and team events (games, practices, tournaments, gatherings etc.)

 

  1. Responsible for the safe use of the facilities by the players and team personnel.

 

  1. Responsible for the jerseys and equipment on loan to the team and ensure all is returned within a week of the season end.

 

  1. Has the authority to refuse the participation of any player on the team and refer to convenor for appropriate action. 

 

  1. Responsible for ensuring all C.H.A., O.H.F, O.M.H.A.., N.D.L.L. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules and regulations are observed and respected by all members of his team.

 

  1. Must attend all meetings set up by the Executive Directors or Convenor when deemed necessary.

 

  1. Distribute and collect any correspondence required by the Executive.

 

  1. Facilitate and participate in year end activities such as banquets or player recognition. 

 

  1. Must hold proper certification for his coaching level.

 

  1. Should hold a trainer certificate in case of emergency.

 

  1. May be dismissed or reviewed by the Travel team / House League convenor or discipline committee. 

 

 

 

Assistant  Coach

Appointed by : Head Coach (approved by coach selection committee)

 

Powers / Duties

 

  1. Will fulfill the duties of the Head Coach in his or her absence.

 

  1. Will help implement P.C.M.H.A. Inc. hockey program as it applies.

 

  1. Must hold proper certification for his coaching level.

 

  1. Should hold a trainer certificate in case of emergency.

 

  1. Will assist Head Coach as directed.

 

  1. Must uphold team discipline policy that guarantees every player a safe and healthy team environment, building self esteem and respect of players on both teams, coaches, officials and spectators.

 

  1. May be dismissed by the Head Coach and/or reviewed by the Travel team / House League convenor or discipline committee. 

 

 

  

Trainer

Appointed by :  Head Coach (approved by coach selection committee)

 

Powers / Duties

 

  1. Must hold proper H.T.C.P. trainer certification for his coaching level and implement all aspects of the program as it applies.

 

  1. Responsible for all aspects of the health and safety of players at all team events (practices, games, tournaments, etc) on and off the ice. 

 

  1. Must Report any player abuse to the Executive.

 

  1. Must attend all team events or delegate responsibilities to a qualified person.

 

  1. Review Emergency Action Plan with the coach at the start of the season and become familiar with opposing rink’s plan upon arrival.   

 

  1. Will have an adequate first aid kit at all team activities.

 

  1. Will be responsible for ensuring proper medical attention is provided when injury or suspected injury occurs and refuse participation of any player who has not sought appropriate attention.

 

  1. Complete and file the appropriate reports for all injuries as required by O.M.H.A. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. 

 

  1. Monitor rehabilitation of injured athletes and ensure medical clearance to return to play.

 

  1. Must uphold team discipline policy that guarantees every player a safe and healthy team environment, building self esteem and respect of players on both teams, coaches, officials and spectators.

 

  1. Will ensure all players are wearing proper equipment which is in good condition and meets O.M.H.A. standards.

 

  1. Will ensure all facilities are safe.  Report any concerns to the appropriate personnel. (arena attendant, official, executive)

 

  1. May be dismissed by the Head Coach and/or reviewed by the Travel team / House League convenor or discipline committee.

 

  1.   Will assist Head Coach as directed.

 

 

Assistant  Trainer

Appointed by : Head Coach (approved by coach selection committee)

 

Powers / Duties

 

  1. Will fulfill the duties of the Trainer in his or her absence.

 

  1. Must hold proper H.T.C.P. trainer certification for his coaching level and implement all aspects of the program as it applies.

 

  1. Will assist Head Coach as directed.

 

  1. Must uphold team discipline policy that guarantees every player a safe and healthy team environment, building self esteem and respect of players on both teams, coaches, officials and spectators.

 

  1. May be dismissed by the Head Coach and/or reviewed by the Travel team / House League convenor or discipline committee. 

 

 

Manager

Appointed by : Head Coach (approved by coach selection committee)

 

Powers / Duties

 

  1. Become familiar with all C.H.A., O.H.F, O.M.H.A.., N.D.L.L. and P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules and regulations are observed and respected by all members of his team.

 

  1. Will assist Head Coach as directed.

 

  1. Will ensure team roster, A/P lists, travel permits, tournament applications etc. are properly completed and filed with the executive.

 

  1. Must uphold team discipline policy that guarantees every player a safe and healthy team environment, building self esteem and respect of players on both teams, coaches, officials and spectators.

 

  1. Responsible for assuring that the team’s dress code (if any) is enforced.

 

  1. Provide officials with properly completed game sheet prior to the start of all games.

 

  1. Responsible for ensuring all equipment and jerseys are stored properly and cared for after each game and practice. 

 

  1. Will ensure dressing room is locked during games and practices

 

  1. Responsible for supervision of players ejected from a game.

 

  1. Responsible for ensuring any team personnel or player suspensions are served and properly recorded on the game sheet.

 

  1. Can prepare and maintain up to date statistics for the team and individual players. 

 

  1. Ensure players have access to the team’s game and practice schedule and assures changes are communicated to the parents.

 

  1. May be dismissed by the Head Coach and/or reviewed by the Travel team / House League convenor or discipline committee. 

 

IN ABSENCE OF THE CONVENOR – home ice

 

  1.  Ensure all home games have qualified on and off ice officials
  2.  Must be able to fulfill duties of the off ice officials in case of an emergency.
  3.  Will be in charge of the facility.
  4.  Will resolve or attempt to resolve, all conflicts and concerns among players, parents and team personnel during game.

Parent Representative

Nominated and elected by the parents of the team

 

  1. Must attend meetings as scheduled by the coaching staff and P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

 

  1. Communicate concerns of parents to appropriate personnel as necessary.

 

  1. Will be a source of information flow from P.C.M.H.A. Inc. Executive to the parents and vice-versa. (distribute banquet, registration, special event information)

 

  1. Will arrange team meeting as instructed by the coaching staff and will have input on policies and issues arising at team meetings.

 

  1. May act as treasurer (collecting funds for tournaments, travel fees etc.) for all team funds and provide updates to the parents.

 

  1. Will be familiar and act in accordance to P.C.M.H.A. Fundraising Policy.   When fundraising projects are planned for the team, the parent representative must open a team bank account and provide financial statements a minimum of 3 times per season including the year end statement.

 

  1. Will submit a summary of all games to the newspaper for coverage.

 

  1. Will coordinate the purchase of Sailors sportswear as outlined in the P.C.M.H.A Inc. Sailor Logo & sportswear Policy.

 

  1. Will be familiar with the following P.C.M.H.A. policies and communicate their content to the parents as needed.

 

    1. Zero tolerance Violence
    2. Parent Free Zone 
    3. Fundraising
    4. Goalie equipment
    5. Discipline
    6. Girls dressing room

 

 

Head of OFF-Ice official

Appointed by : Executive

 

  1. Must be competent of fulfilling all duties of the off-ice officials.
  2. Responsible for interviewing and selecting the off-ice officials
  3. Develop and offer an instructional program to educate all interested volunteers and train all new off-ice officials prior to start of season.
  4. Responsible for scheduling all paid off-ice officials for home games.
  5. Provide a detailed list of all amounts owing to individual off-ice officials for verification.
  6. Responsible for submitting a detailed list of all amounts owing off-ice officials to the ice scheduler on a monthly basis for verification.
  7. Responsible for ensuring all off-ice officials receive payment from P.C.M.H.A. Inc.
  8. Will review off-ice officials on a regular basis to ensure they are performing their duties responsibly and may dismiss off-ice officials as deemed necessary.
  9. May be a paid position at a rate a pay set by the Executive.
  10.  May be reviewed or dismissed by the Executive.

 

Off-ice officials

    Selected by Head OFF-ice official

 

  1. Must be competent in operating both arena clocks and filling out game sheet as described in C.H.A. rules and regulations.  (rule 44-45-46)
  2. Paid position at a rate a pay set by the Executive.  ( base set as $ amount only of student minimum wage)
  3. Must understand and respect all C.H.A, O.H.F., O.M.H.A.,& P.C.M.H.A. Inc. rules.
  4. Responsible for their scheduled games and find suitable replacement when unexpected conflicts occur.
  5. Will ensure gamesheet is properly filled out by both teams and checked by referee prior to the start of the game, have referee review and sign upon completion of the game. 
  6. Will distribute copies of gamesheets to proper team and league convenors following game.
  7. Will arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled start time or as otherwise instructed.
  8. Disciplinary actions will be taken for games missed without just cause or poor job performance.
  9. May be dismissed or reviewed by the Head Off-Ice official, Convenor or Executive.
  10.  Suspension of duties during playoffs is automatic after 3 missed games during regular season.
  11. A) Two off-ice officials are required for Peewee, Bantam, Midget and Juvenile Rep games, and Bantam, Midget and Juvenile Local league games; one to run the clock and the other to record game sheet.

B)  One off-ice official is required for the Novice, Atom and Peewee in-house or local league games and for Novice and Atom Rep games.

C)  The tyke division will be on a voluntary basis and must be provided by the home team.

Parent or guardian

Of registered players

 

1.    Must set a good example for players and display appropriate conduct while using facilities rented by P.C.M.H.A. Inc.

2.    Has a right to vote for elected members of the executive and issues arising at the Annual General Meeting.

3.    Should be knowledgeable of and respect all C.H.A., O.H.F., O.M.H.A.,  P.C.M.H.A Inc. and Niagara District League rules, regulations and policies.

4.    Must respect the fact that volunteers donate their time for their children.

5.    Must respect the fact that service clubs and private businesses financial support help lower the cost of hockey for their children.

6.    Must acknowledge that hockey is a team sport, players, volunteers, referees, community and parents are all very important parts of the success of the P.C.M.H.A. Inc. Sailors hockey team.

7.    Must respect the Parent Free Zone policy.

8.    Have the right to request a copy of the Emergency Action Plan or any other policy.

9.    Should a problem arise, parents must become accustom to and follow the proper procedure to solve the conflict at the lowest level.

10. Must refrain from discussing conflicts within the first 24 hours with our volunteers.

11. Has the right to submit recommendations and complaints by following the procedure outlined in P.C.M.H.A. Inc. discipline policy.

12. Support the coaches and volunteers of the organization and accept decisions made by individuals in charge.

 

Players

Registered

 

  1. Will arrive at the arena with a positive attitude.
  2. Will treat teammates, parents, coaching staffs, volunteers and officials with respect.
  3. Has the right to expect mutual respect and fair treatment.
  4. Will arrive at the arena for practices, home games and away games approximately 25 minutes prior to ice time and ready a minimum of 10 minutes before the scheduled start (unless otherwise required by the coach)
  5. Individually responsible for their equipment and personal belongings.
  6. Must properly maintain and use equipment.
  7. Responsible for acting in an appropriate manner at all times. 
  8. May have team privileges suspended or revoked by the coach or the executive when necessary.
  9. Discipline committee and or executive will impose appropriate disciplinary measures if necessary.
  10. Will respect and obey all C.H.A., O.H.F., O.M.H.A., P.C.M.H.A Inc. and Niagara District League rules, regulations and policies.
